AI pronunciation coach: one tip on the word you missed
Sada’s coach is a feature of Sada, the free shadowing app. After you record a line from a real talk, tap Ask the coach and you get one short tip about the word that did not come across, in English, Arabic or Vietnamese. The tip is written by AI from the words your device heard. Your voice never leaves your device.
Try it on a sentence
Free, with no account: 3 tips a day. The first sentence opens ready to record.
The coach is paused for now. Practice and the word-by-word score work as always.
How the coach works
- Record a line. Listen to one sentence from a real talk and say it after the speaker.
- See your result. Sada shows which of your words were heard, which were missed, and your timing.
- Tap Ask the coach. Nothing appears by itself: the coach answers only when you tap.
- Read one tip. One short tip about the word that slipped, often with a simple way to say it.
- Say it again. Record the line once more and compare. Mark the tip helpful or not helpful if you like.
A worked example
A learner says “Can I borrow your pen?” and the device hears “Can I pour your pen?”. Five of six words came across; “borrow” did not.
Can I borrow your pen?
Your phone heard “pour”, not “borrow”. Start strong, then make the ending light:
BOR-roh
Say it again and compare. The tip names what was heard, what was meant and one thing to change. It does not give a list of rules or a grade.
What is sent, and what never is
- Sent when you tap: the line the speaker said, the words your device heard from you, the missed and extra words, your timing and the app’s language.
- Never sent: your voice. Your recording stays on your device, and your speech is recognised on your device.
- The AI: the tips are written by an AI language model. A person does not read your result. More in the privacy notice.
Limits
- 3 tips a day without an account. With a free account (Google or a link by email), 30 tips a day and your progress on every device. An account is optional: practice never needs one.
- English lines only. The coach answers on lines in English; other languages can still be practised and scored.
- It works from what the device heard. In a noisy place it can be wrong. It does not grade your accent or each sound one by one.
- It is new. Not every learner sees it yet, and it can be paused, for example when the day’s limit for the whole site is reached. Practice and the score always work without it.
What makes Sada different
- Free, with no ads and no paid plan.
- Any captioned YouTube video: paste a link and practise it line by line, or pick a talk from the library.
- An honest score, word by word: green was heard, red was missed, and words unclear in the video itself count for nobody.
- Private by design: speech recognition runs in your browser and recordings stay on your device.

Yes. 3 tips a day are free without an account, and 30 a day with a free account. Sada has no ads and no paid plan.
Does the coach listen to my voice?
No. Your speech is recognised on your device and your recording stays there. When you tap Ask the coach, Sada sends the line, the words your device heard and your timing, never the audio.
Is the tip written by a person?
No. The tip is written by an AI language model from your result. It can be wrong, so you can mark each tip helpful or not helpful.
Do I need an account?
No. Practice and 3 tips a day need no account. A free account gives 30 tips a day and keeps your progress on every device.
Which language is the tip in?
In the app’s language: English, Arabic or Vietnamese. The coach answers on English lines.
Does it grade my accent?
No. It reads which words came across. It does not grade your accent or each sound one by one.

You don't need to speak fast.
A slow line to begin with: listen to how “don’t need to” runs together, then say it at the speaker’s pace.
