Daily speaking challenge: can you say today’s sentence?

Sada’s daily speaking challenge gives everyone the same short sentence from a real video each day. You have three rounds to say it: listen, record yourself, see which words the app recognised, and hear your voice next to the speaker’s. It is free, needs no account and runs in your browser.

How the challenge works

  1. Listen. The day’s sentence plays once from its video, at the speaker’s own pace.
  2. Say it. Record yourself saying it after the speaker. The microphone is used only while you record.
  3. See the words recognised. Each word the app recognised turns green; a word it did not is marked.
  4. Hear yourself against the speaker. Your take plays next to the original, so you hear the difference yourself.
  5. Up to three rounds. When every word is recognised in a round, you said it, in that many tries.

Take today’s challenge

What counts, and what does not

  • Only recognised words. Speech recognition runs on your device and reports which words it heard. That is the whole result.
  • No accent score. Sada does not grade your accent or invent a number for how native you sound.
  • The same sentence for everyone. A new sentence starts at 00:00 UTC, so friends in different countries get the same one on the same day.
  • Real lines, checked. Every sentence is a line from a real video whose captions the Sada team checked against the audio.

Choose your language

The challenge has a sentence a day in each of these languages:

Challenge a friend

When you finish, you can send the challenge through WhatsApp, Telegram, LINE or any app on your phone. The message says how many tries you needed, the day and the language. It never contains the sentence, your recording or your name, so your friend hears the sentence fresh.

Come back tomorrow

One sentence a day is a small habit that adds up. If you want a reminder, Sada can send one sentence a day by notification or email after you have recorded; you choose, and you can stop at any time.

How is my result measured?

When does the sentence change?

Every day at 00:00 UTC. Everyone who opens the challenge that day gets the same sentence in the same language.

What does my friend receive when I share?
