Shadowing in any language
Shadowing in another language means speaking along with a recording in that language. Choose a captioned video and a line you understand; recognition results can vary by language and device.

Test run on 2026-09-25: sentences spoken by clear synthetic voices and heard by Sada’s own speech model (the larger one on computers, the smaller one on phones). A learner’s voice is harder, so the numbers compare languages. Japanese is weak on phones for now; practise it on a computer.
Any other language
The table lists the languages we tested, but Sada takes any video with captions. Try yours: if most of your words turn green on a clear line, it hears that language well.
Practise one line, step by step
- Try an English example, or add a video in your language with captions and choose a line you understand.
- Listen and read the caption, then say the line after the speaker in Repeat mode.
- Try saying the line with the speaker in Shadow mode, following the rhythm and pauses.
- Record a take, then open Compare and play your recording and the original. Review words and timing; Sada does not grade individual sounds.
- Repeat the line while focusing on one difference you heard, then move to another line.

You don't need to speak fast.
A slow line to begin with: listen to how “don’t need to” runs together, then say it at the speaker’s pace.
